This year, India is celebrating 68th year of  Independence.

I’m very blessed and happy to be born in a free country. I immensely love my country and I’m extremely proud to be AN INDIAN.

Celebrating Independence day was usually accompanied with  flag hosting ceremony in my residential community and a deep heart felt thanking prayers to thank all who fought for our freedom

So today’s recipe to celebrate our 68th Indian Independence is tricolor peda. :) HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL INDIAN and let’s be thankful to what we have than to crib over what we lack(at least for today)

After 3 mins

Remove from the microwave and leave it to cool a bit. Once it’s cooled enough to handle, divide the dough into 3 parts.

Add few drops of orange food color to 1 part, and few drops of green food color to 2nd part. No need to add any food color to the 3rd part.

Using a spoon, mix very well until the food color is totally incorporated with peda dough.

Roll them into round peda shape or any other shape.

You can avoid using food colors and make plain white pedas.

I have not added cardamom powder to the recipe, you can add about 1 tspn of cardamom powder.

[…] I have made pedas at home many times and all of them are instant pedas. Though traditional recipes and methods are always the best, there are situations when one looks for quicker options to make like easier. With 2 kids, and a whole lot of activity to be done at home, I have been looking more of instant and quick recipes. So this is my third peda recipe which is again an instant version. If you are interested to know about the other 2 peda recipes check here for milk pedas microwave version and here. […]
