This is my first attempt in trying a video recipe, a lot of new things I learnt today and a lot more to learn in the coming days if I decide on continue the video recipes. For that I need your honest feed back. Tell me, how did you find my amateurish video? :D

Baked Potato Roses

Ingredients

4 large potatoes

¼ cup olive oil

1 ½ teaspoon salt

1 ½ teaspoon pepper powder

2 teaspoon garlic granules(or powder)

2 teaspoon dried thyme

2 teaspoon dried oregano

Method

  1. Wash and peel potatoes. Slice them using a mandolin slicer. Keep aside.
  2. Whisk together olive oil, salt, pepper powder, garlic granules, dried thyme, dried oregano. Keep aside.
  3. Arrange about 15 potato slices over lapping one another. Brush olive oil mix over the top.
  4. Roll carefully holding on to all the slices to get a beautiful rose. (make a rose size that fits in your cup cake mold)
  5. Place these on a greased cup cake mold.
  6. Bake in pre heated oven at 200 degree centigrade for about 30 to 35 minutes. The edges should turn brown and crisp, and potatoes cooked through well.
  7. Remove from oven and serve immediately with any dipping sauce of your choice.

Thank you Meera. I am so glad with the response I’m receiving for my first attempt. Yeah lot of effort, lot of learning. I wasn’t thinking of video recipes either, but thanks to Priya for pushing me to give it a try :D Will I do any more videos in further – I dont know yet :D

  5. Jyothi – wow wow wow those I have to make. Perfect Dinner Party food (friends would be extremely jeallous) – your video I simply love!!!! So clear, simple, clean etc. just like a good food video should be. No endless self-glorification talk, horrible or/and chipped colour on fingernails, bangels and rings as dressed for a wedding, and most of all messy presentation. Please!!! I urge you, for what’s worth, make more of such beautiful videos. I can hardly believe this was your first one – you are a truly gifted lady :) :)
